Hello,
I obtained an EAD using my OPT just to be able to work in the U.S. while my fiancee completes her degree (I graduated in December 06 and she will do so in May 07). Since we will get married after she graduates, and will file for adjustment of status, we thought there would be no problem in my ability to work without any interruption.
However, it seems that filing for adjustment of status invalidates your OPT, therefore you wouldn't be able to continue working until you get your new EAD.
Does that mean I would have to stop working for 90 days or so after I get married? (Remember I'm on an F-1 as I think you can keep working if on an H-1B)
If so, is there any way to minimize this problem?

Any advanced degree petitions received from here on out will count toward the regular cap of 65,000. The USCIS is still accepting petitions at this time, but it is advised that any H-1B petitions be filed as soon as possible as the USCIS could announce that the cap is closed at any time.

Processing of 140 applications in NSC now takes 9 to 12 months . The movement of dates only will make things worse for processing of all the applications.
Hope it does not take more than a year for AP and EAD ...

I did send my wife's and my daughter's RFE in one package. But have separate cover lettter and folder. One packet is enough, clearly distiguish between two set of papers.
My wife and I got RFE on medical. Now I am sending response to RFE. Do I need to send the RFE response individually by FEDEX or Can I send both of us responses in one FEDEX package? Please advise. Thanks.

I will change my employer in April and transfer my H1 with my wife's H4. My wife has found some company which would sponsor her H1B. I am on EB2+485 pending. My wife is on H4(we haven't filed her 485 due to retrogression). I am very confused now. Please help me!
1. My wife's company would apply H1B on April the 1st. My new employer will transfer our H1&H4 after that. Will we have any problem here?
2. My new employer would sponsor me EB1. I have EB2+485 pending. If I apply for EB1 140+485, what will happen my old 485?

I know this issue is still a grey area and certainly no one seems to know a concrete answer to this.
If i have my H-1 Visa and EAD as well. Can i continue to Work on my H1-visa for the primary employer and take up a part-time job with the EAD.
I have hear ppl say that H1 becomes void once EAD is used. Is there any kind of document advocating this? I have not seen any. Lawyers have conflicting opinoin. Has anyone thought about this. I have decided to take an infopass appointment and ask the IO to show me a document that states that H1-becomes void or The other way around.
Can anyone shed more light in to this. Thanks

Silvergate did academic evaluation for me for my I-140 and they did an excellent job on my case which i needed rushed and they gave me efficient next day processing. I had contacted other evaluation services first who would take longer and were more expensive. I definitely recommend them.

I have added my wife to green card application. Can you please let me know when she can expect receipt notice and Fingerprint Notice and when she can expect her GC. TSC is processing my/her application. My Priority Date is in Aug 1st 2006.
I am one of the ones who had missed the July 07 boat. My PD is finally current.
My attorney is getting ready to file all the items (485, EAD, AP etc) tomorrow.
How soon can I expect the FP Notice?
Also, since I am applying only now, how long before I can hope to see Green?
